Kari Frisch named Board of Trustees Award for Excellence in Teaching winner

Central Lakes College Communications instructor Kari Frisch was awarded the 2017 Minnesota State Board of Trustees Award for Excellence in Teaching. In 2016, Ms. Frisch worked with RITA affiliated faculty to develop a workshop focused on implementing best practices in online instruction and the teaching of technical curriculum.

CLC partnership results in experience for students

A partnership between the Brainerd Masonic Center and Central Lakes College has resulted in real-world experience and scholarships for three students.

Three CLC mobile app development students will enhance the Brainerd Masonic Center's website and develop a new mobile app for the group. All three students received a $500 scholarship for their efforts.

"This is a very exciting opportunity for CLC students," said mobile app development instructor Sam Espana.
